Aunt Noma always had a smile when I saw her and a laugh to share. She was an amazing cook! I will always treasure the time I got to spend with her. It’s hard to imagine she is gone from this world but she is forever in our hearts.

My condolences to her family. I will always remember Noma as a woman of great giving & help to all who needed guidance & encouragement with her immense talent around knitting. I loved watching her working with the young girls at Crosswinds….teaching & encouraging them with knitting. She was so patient with my granddaughter! A woman who will be missed for her kindness to all, her immense gift of teaching & her patience. She will be remembered & missed by all whose lives were touched by her. Noma has been a blessing to all who have known her. And of course, One cannot ever forget her beautiful smile and soft words.

When I first moved here, Noma welcomed me into Knitting Connections at Wood Library. She was kindhearted and warm, and even took me to a few local knitting events to connect with groups here. I also would run into her when she was volunteering. She always was smiling and eager to say "hello." Norma was the epitome of community spirit.

I cherish the many memories of volunteering with Noma in the founding days of Habitat for Humanity in Ontario County. Her home was always welcoming for many meetings and she gave so many hours of helping in multiple ways. I have kept the unique potholders she made to raise funds for building some of the original homes.
A wonderful friend and an example of Christ to all that were blessed to know her.
My sympathy to her husband Reg and family.

My condolences to the family. What a wonderful woman Noma was. So friendly, kind, inviting, helpful...there are not enough words to express just how wonderful and nice she was.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
There will always be that empty seat at the knitting get togethers where she would be.

I think of Noma as the center of a huge wheel, full of people who were touched in some way by her. In any random gathering of people, if the subject of knitting came up, so did Noma's name! In my experience, everyone knew Noma as the one who taught them to knit, or attended a class she taught, or was part of a needlework social group she organized, or maybe had a friend who knew Noma.
Noma was also involved in numerous volunteer activities, & was a kind, dear friend. My life was greatly enriched by knowing Noma & I'll think of her every time I pick up my knitting needles.
