Con was so kind and giving, just the nicest person. I had the pleasure of going with him twice to Bermuda for sea trials. Boats were not his favorite, he told me he was a "Swamp Yankee" and he got pretty seasick. Both times, we were able to complete our assigned tasks despite rough conditions. But when we returned to shore and got off the boat, he thanked God and kissed the ground!
I admired his faith, gentleness and goodness, I will miss him. -Lois Gallant

Con greeted us with a friendly smile and warm handshake at the door of the Long Plain Baptist Church upon our first visit there as teenagers. It was the beginning of an amazing mentorship as he and Betsy made us feel a part of their family through the subsequent years. Sunday dinners, Risk games, pool time, stories of olden times from Gram who lived in the closet, Con reading Treasure Island to our elder son upon his knee, a loan for a washer and dryer (repaid promptly with gratitude) - they helped a struggling young couple find their way in life.
Christianity lived is a greater testimony than a thousand sermons. May God continue to bless and comfort the entire family, and we thank you all - Carol,Sharon,Kevin and Kate for sharing your Dad with us.

Con hired me at Sippican, Corp as an Electronics technician when I left the Air Force in 1972. We worked to develop the 'Electrified Floor Assembly" including a test installation at a primary school in Oak Brook, IL. We decided to have lunch there at a local restaurant known for good steaks. After ordering, we discovered there was a lingerie show going on with live models coming up to each table! Con, having a reputation of being somewhat conservative, was so embarrassed I thought he would pass out. We had quite a story to tell (everyone) when we got back to Marion.
Con was the most kind and well respected person I have ever met. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. To me, he was the epitome of what it means to be a good Christian.

It is with a heavy heart that I write the family and offer my condolences on the passing of Con. I am grateful to have been able to talk to him when I heard he was doing poorly. I will miss the phone calls we made about twice a year. He has been part of my life since I was ten. When he was working at Philco in Philadelphia, he and Betsy would often visit my dad, Uncle Jack, and Aunt Peg. They were very close, and I still recall when he took me to the quarry to swim. And the many times he grabbed a ball and glove to play catch.
But for the last 20 years, we had a lot of memories and catching up via the phone
I am reminded of 2 Timothy 4:7 ESV
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and have kept the faith”
… that describes Con to a “T” and I‘m certain he’s found his place in heaven.
Our prayers are for the family and the loss they are feeling, but there is the hope we find in the scriptures.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 ESV
“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”
For those who believe in Jesus as their Savior, death is not the end, but only the beginning of an eternity of unspeakable joy with the Lord and with other believers.
God Bless, John and Rosie

Con was a gentle giant and gracious man. Our LPBC Church family visited with Con and Betsy so many times, Suppers. Bible Study, Progressive Suppers, Youth Group, etc. Their house was always open for just a talk or Hello. Con sent a beautiful letter to me when my husband, Paul passed, always knew what to say and encourage. Looking forward to seeing you in eternity.
God Bless, Audrey Ouellette, Rochester, MA

Carrie, Sharon, Kevin and Kate: my condolences on the loss of your amazing dad. As a child, I could think of no better family than yours and your parents were so gracious in letting me spend so much time at your house. Wonderful memories. A life truly well lived.

Con was my Sunday School Teacher for 6 years. 7th grade until I graduated as Senior in High School. He had a great influence on my walk with Jesus, and in a graduation card he wrote to me, "My lessons each Sunday were geared around getting and holding your attention. I knew if I had you, I had the whole room. Well, Con, you captivated me each Sunday with understanding how to surrender "self" and live for Christ. Today I am a Pastor and proclaimer of the Word. Well Done! A life well lived for the Kingdom of God - enjoy His riches in Glory,

We knew and loved Con from Lifespring Community Church. He was a member, as were we, of the Adult Bible Fellowship group, Spectrum. Con had a wonderful sense of humor and was a devout servant of the Lord. We so loved being in his presence. We have not seen him in the thirteen years that we have lived in Colorado, but he and Betsy are always family in the Lord.
