Obituary of George A. Rogers
George Anson Rogers, 83, lifelong farmer of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, September 8, at the home he was born in, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara; children, Sandra (Dennis) Kostraba, Anson "Andy" (Dawn), Susan (Danny) Pratt, Donna (Don) Hudson, Joann (Kevin Boadway), and Geraldine "Gerry;" grandchildren, Matthew (Heather), Jenny (Chad), Scott (Kate), Amanda, Jared (Stacie), Ashley (Mark), Emily (Jimmy), Britt (Breanne), Cody (Kasey), Danny Jr. (Mariah), Samantha, Taylor (Jesson), and Tommy (Lynnsie); great grandchildren, Jenna, Calvin, Aiden, Grady, Grant, Jackson, Macoy, Brinn, Julie, Kenzie, Xander, Graham, Dalton, Mason, Arlington, Abram, Leighton, and Nora; great nephew, Andrew; brothers, Gene (Kathy), Jim (Donna) Shappee, Jim (Diane) and Gary; sisters-in-law, Mary Martin, Janelle Martin, Alberta (Richard) Meyers; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Predeceased by parents Andrew and Leota; sister, Mary Lee Shappee, and great-granddaughter, Bailey. Burial and celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 14, at the family farm.
