My mom was one of a kind. She practically forced me to learn how to cook which I am eternally grateful for, she always believed in making most things from scratch as convenience could never replace quality. We always had a full house growing up as all my friends would come over after school just to hang out and pass the time... she would even joke around saying that she liked some of my friends more than me.
She always reminded me to laugh and to not take things so seriously, and that it's OK to cry when you need to. Her passing has left a huge hole in my heart but I am thankful that I got to share 33 years with her.

Cathy had a spirit all her own; she let you know where she stood on important topics and shared her culinary skills with her family willingly. She was also a serious advocate for her rights when she traveled to Washington DC and spoke at the Indian Land hearings on behalf of her home in Fayette, New York. She was my sister-in-law for a relatively short time, but forever the mother of two of my most beloved nephews, Scott and Paul, who have grown into amazing men who I am proud to call family.

Cathy was my childhood friend from "the neighborhood". We shared so many fun times! Roasting apples round a campfire, drinking her mom's homemade root beer, laughing and sharing stories, and even taking care of a bat with a damaged wing. I've never forgotten her and never will.❤️ She was one in a million! Hugs for her family.

The photo was taken on Cathy's wedding day in 1992. May the many warm memories are of all the
years comfort all of us who knew her.
