Obituary of Richard C. Johnston

Richard C. Johnston Canandaigua- Richard Johnston, 75, passed away peacefully at the Canandaigua Veterans Affairs on May 27, 2022. Richard survived by his wife of 53 years Therese (Brown) Johnston; three daughters, Karen Johnston, Wendy Johnston, Rebecca Pool (Johnston, Bryan); two grandsons, Ethan Pool and Jonathan Pool; sister, Linda (Charlie) Brown; mother in-law, Marie Brown; two sisters in-law, Linda (Eugene) Johnston, Jackie (Bucky) Fisher; two brothers in-law, John (Linda) Brown and Danny (Donna) Brown and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was drafted into the Marines in 1966. After he was honorably discharged, he worked for W.E. Hook n' Son's until 1979. He then went to work for the New York Department of Transportation for 30 plus years. Richard had touched many people's lives throughout his amazing life. The family would like to thank the Canandaigua Veteran's Affairs staff for the amazing, wonderful care he received. The family will be Celebrating his life on Sunday, June 12, from 12-5pm at the Cheshire Fire Hall, 4285 State Rt. 21 S. Canandaigua, NY 14424.
