I just learned of this news today and my heart is crushed. Scott was so much more than just my mechanic. He was such a kind heart and loving man. He was an honest man who did right by everyone. I will so greatly miss him in so many facets. My heart goes out to Ruth and Kaylee and the rest of his family. Anyone that knew Scott knew they were his whole world.

Jerry and I will truly miss Scott's smiling face and sense of humor. He always enjoyed his racing time with all his buddies. Jerry Jr had fun racing with him in the gasser class. He was always the gentleman.

Scott has always been the coolest guy around! My first memories of him are when Ruthie started bringing him around. I was very young. But I'll never forget riding around in his El Camino and jamming out to 96.5. (It was at that point that I decided it was okay that Ruth was going to marry him.) I loved that car with the great tunes! I guess it's safe to say that I loved Scott too from then on. He had the best laugh, almost a giggle. He was the one that introduced my father to stock car racing and got us hooked! So many memories, both on and off the track; a lifetime full! Families that race together stay together. You are missed so much already Scott.
Ruth, Kaylee, Ellie, Sherry... my heart is broken for you all. All my love to you. Lean on all of us who love you as you try to make sense of this tragedy. We are here for you.

We had a opportunity last year to spend time with Scott and Ruth at their business and to talk about old memories and to catch up current stuff. our hearts go out to the whole family and we cannot express our sadness. for your loss. Scott will be missed immensely!!!!!!

We truly wish that we could be there to try to help ease the pain of losing such a great man! We have enjoyed so many nights watching Scott race at both Canandaigua and Spencer Speedways. He always made the time to talk to anyone even if he had work to do on the car or in the shop. We have watched how no matter what his family was always his joy. Ellie, Ruth and Kaylee please know how much you all mean to us and hope that the wonderful memories of Scott will help you through the pain. Rest easy Scott, you taught us all how to be better people. We love you and will always hold you in our hearts.

Scott was a great competitor on the Dirt tracks and on the Strip.
When I was in High School I was helping out a fellow competitor, and Scott was always there to lend a helping hand whether it was with advice, or even loaning out parts to help keep others going. He created such a respectful atmosphere at the track.
Shortly after, I began photographing at local tracks and enjoyed his good looking rides!!!
He will be missed!
Thanks for the memories, and God Bless!!!
