Obituary of Margaret Hood

Margaret W. Hood Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2020 at M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua, NY. Marge was born in Gretna, VA on January 20, 1932, the daughter of Nona McBride and John Updike. She is survived by the love of her life, Larry, her husband of 69 years; daughters Cynthia Chittenden, Kathy Walker (Michael), Deborah Odell (Mike); grandsons Gregory Chittenden and David Chittenden (predeceased); granddaughters Angelique Matrone (A.J.) and Stephanie Caley. Marge worked at Jefferson Road Elementary School in Pittsford for 32 years; was an active volunteer for 17 years at Canandaigua VA Medical Center; and served as Past Queen and active member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Damascus Temple Masons Shriners Hospital for Children.
