Obituary of Ruth Erbig

Ruth V. Erbig Loving Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma Canandaigua, NY Ruth V. Erbig, 90, passed away March 24, 2011 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Ruthie was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Carroll) Manico. She moved to Canandaigua with her family from Valley Stream, Long Island in 1968, and worked at F.F. Thompson Hospital as Unit Helper for 26 1/2 years. Ruthie is survived by her children, Donald Erbig and Josephine Abbate, Mary Ann and Art Benham, Cathy and Frank Macri; grandchildren, Donald Erbig, Melissa and Angelo Chiarenza, Regina Erbig, Timothy Erbig, Cara Deleo, Katy Deleo, Maggie Benham, Jackie Benham, Tina Macri, Andrea and Kyle Holmes, Tommy Macri, Michael Macri, Christian Erbig, Noelle Darcy; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Shane, Sophia, Gabriella, Dominic, and William Raymond. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Dottie and Joe Shanley and several nieces and nephews. Ruthie was predeceased by her loving husband, Ray; son, Raymond Erbig Jr.; four sisters and four brothers. Friends are invited to call Sunday (today) from 4-7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 1:00 pm funeral Mass will be held Monday March 28, at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Donations can be made in Ruthie’s memory to St. Mary’s School, 16 Gibson St. Canandaigua.
