Since a practical time in his surgical division of FFTH, we stayed in contact. Brendan was a unique personality, filled with a huge, good heart, wit and an extraordinary ability to tell interesting stories - we loved his annual letters. Mary and Brendan visited us in Germany in 2005, and we had plans to see both again this year, utmost regrettable it was too late. However, Brendan, you will never be forgotten - and we will meet again at another place. Dirk, Heike, Amélie, Vincent from Germany

So many wonderful, exciting and passionate conversations shared on walks throughout Toronto; Halloween adventures spent on the American side; sage advice on medical questions; and continuous kindness throughout our very long friendship…..a great loss. You will be missed Bernie (our name for him). Storming the heavens

I am sad and shocked to hear of Dr Brady's passing. He was an exceptional colleague, always ready to share a smile and an anecdote, or offer support for a frustrating situation. His clinical skills were exceptional as well, and his care for patients and advocacy for the highest standards of clinical care an inspiration.
When I started on staff at FFTH in 1992, Brendan was friendly and welcoming to this young family physician. It meant a lot in a world where specialists could be hostile or dismissive. I always felt he gave excellent advise as well as support and I felt honored to be his collogue in the same quest to get our patients the highest level of care no matter what their circumstances were. He touched and saved so
many lives in the course of his long career.
I send my sincere condolences and deep sympathy to Mary and all his family. He will be greatly missed.

Brendan's mom married my Uncle Carl, and my twin brother and I were excited to have more twins in the family. The Brady Boys were both examples of great men who were identical twins like us. Brendan accomplished so much; the World was a better place because of Brendan—condolences to the Family.

I’ve known Dr. Brady since I was a nursing student. I graduated in 1986 so we knew each other for a bit. Between my working in the ER for 13 years and as the night shift hospital supervisor for 15 years, we also saw a lot together. Not always good things and Mostly at hours he’d rather be home sleeping. His compassion for his patients never faltered. No matter the hour. He was always kind, caring and respectful to not only his patients and their families, but to everyone who had the pleasure to work with him. He will truly be missed. I am honored to have known him.

My daughter and Connor Brady were in preschool together for two years. In 1987, her younger brother became quite sick and we had to take him to the emergency room at Dr. Brady's urgent request to our pediatrician. Dr. Brady's diagnosis was correct and he immediately prepared our child and his team for surgery. This one son of ours is alive today because Brendan Brady and Dr. Jeff Page did not waste time in operating on that ruptured appendix. A full week in hospital followed and Dr. Brady himself popped in when there were any concerns. At follow-up visit in his office, Dr. Brady gave 3- yr. old Daniel a blown-up glove with a funny smile face drawn on it. Not just the Brady family, but all of Canandaigua and the world, we have lost a good man. I thank God every day for such great people and medical talent and skill. With Love to Mary and all of our children and grandchildren, I am so sorry for this loss in your lives. Take comfort in each other and the support of your friends. Peace always and gratitude, Victoria M. Peltier (Farmington, NY)

Such a very special Dr., certainly one of a kind. I am sure he will provide great health care for the angels in heaven!!! Rest in Peace! If I am remembering correctly my mom was one of his first patients when he came to Thompson, (1983 ish), he was very good to her and she always remembered him at Christmas with a box of candy! I am sure the great memories that have been made over the years will help all the family get through this very difficult time.

Fred and Brendan spent much special time together. One of the times Mary and I joined them was for this memorable hot air balloon ride. So many memories. They were all “perfect”. Such a great guy. Brendan will be greatly missed.
