Obituary of Patricia C. Johnson

Patricia Johnson of Canandaigua passed away at the age of 90 peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 at FF Thompson Hospital with her loving husband by her side. Patricia was born on February 24, 1934 in Rochester, New York. She attended and graduated from West High School in Rochester in 1952. From 1952 - 1955 she attended Nursing School at the University of Rochester, graduating with the class of 1955. Patricia was an RN her entire working career. She was employed at Strong Memorial Hospital - Pediatrics, Brockport Lakeside Memorial Hospital - OR / ER, Buffalo Millard Fillmore Hospital – OR, Rochester Genesee Hospital - Orthopedics, and finished her career at Rochester Kirk Haven Nursing Home as a Nurse Manager. Patricia retired from Nursing in 1996 after a very fulfilling career. She touched the lives of thousands of people, as well as brought new life into the world, throughout her career. Until the end of Patricia's life, she enjoyed raising puppies, making candles, designing beautiful floral arrangements, traveling, gardening, listening to her husband's big band music, and spending quality time with family. Patricia is survived by her husband, Willard Johnson, 28 years of marriage, her son David Garrity of Denver, CO, her son Dan (Dee) Garrity of Raleigh, NC, her daughter Lisa (Chris)Decker of Victor, NY, stepson Eric (Martha) Johnson of Rush, NY, stepson Curt (Debbie) Johnson of Littleton, CO, stepson David (Tim) Johnson of Webster, NY as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
