Obituary
Obituary of Margaret M. MacNeal
Margaret M. MacNeal 94, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 11th in Canandaigua, NY
She is predeceased by her husband, George; son-in-law, Gary; brothers, Charles, Walter, and Edward; sister, Elizabeth.
Margaret is survived by children, Margaret Servis, Anna Alger (Terry), William MacNeal (Kori); grandchildren, Chad, Elizabeth, Samantha (Josh), Heather, Autumn, Patrick; great grandchildren, Abbie, Gannon, Christopher, Travers, Connor, Chase, Grace, Juliet, Jackson, and Rose; sister, Virginia Robbins New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born and raised in Rochester and moved to Canandaigua in 1988. She graduated from East High School in Rochester. She met her husband while working at the first Wegmans on Front Street. They were married for 49 years, and she became a devoted mother to her three children. She made many sacrifices in her life for her children. Margaret knew their strengths, weaknesses, and goals; always a cheerleader for them. Her children were as devoted to her as she was to them. Unconditional Love.
She loved rides to Naples, to the farm market, the overlook, and many outings to Kershaw Park for a Zweigles white hot. Family was important to her and loved the holidays and picnics over the years with the entire family. She did not like to be alone, so she thought of clever ways to get one of her children to come over.
Margaret loved and adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each one held a special place in her heart. She was especially blessed that on her 90th Birthday her great granddaughter Juliet was born.
She was adamant she was going to live on her own, which she did. The family is internally grateful for the care she received from Deidra Buck and Meghan Smith while fulfilling her wishes to stay home.
