Obituary of Jason B. Mathis Jr.

Jason B. Mathis, Jr., left this world suddenly at 24 years old on April 20, 2024. Jay was the beloved son of Rachel and CeeJai Green, and Jason Mathis, Sr.; brother to Tatiana and Darius; grandson of Becky and Randy (Lisa) and David and Star; great-grandson, of Jayne Buchanan; nephew of Gretchen, Josie, Tammy, Christine, LeeAnn, LeeRoy, and Jackie; cousin to many and loved by other family from the Green, Reid, and Solomon families. Jay had a contagious smile, and it was hard to find him without one on his face. He was a kindhearted soul that even people meeting him for the first time could recognize. Jay enjoyed whatever so long as he was around family and friends. He had the ability to adapt to any new situations and enjoyed himself by being around the people, the thing or the what never mattered. Jay loved his Xbox games, D&D, was "Jace" to his Magic friends, anime, giving his Grammy and Nana kisses on the forehead and ear, and just hanging out with his brother and sister. He joins his great grandfather, Clinton Buchanan "Papa" in watching over all those that loved him. Jason will be genuinely missed by many and his life will go on through his gift to others.
