Obituary of Iva M. Taylor
Iva M. Taylor, age 81, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband, of 63 years, Charles Taylor, in April of 2023.
Iva is survived by her three children: Timothy Taylor, Terri (Jeff) Yoder, and Tammy (David) Korpiel; seven grandchildren, Kari DeGilio, Robert Taylor, Patrick (Carolyn) Mantz, Michael Taylor, Ben Korpiel, Megan Korpiel, and Jared Yoder; two great grandchildren, Freddy and Henry Mantz.
Iva was born in Canton, New York on September 22, 1942, and was the daughter of Lewis and Genevieve (Filiatrault) Mitchell. Iva worked for New York State DDSO for over 30 years until her retirement in 1997. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting with her cousins, camping, and watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events.
She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a fun and loving Aunt, Sister, and Sister-in-law to many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In keeping with her wishes of no services, a Celebration of Life will held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Traditions at the Links, 5900 North Burdick Street, East Syracuse, New York 13057. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Greater Canandaigua Civic Center 250 North Bloomfield Road, Canandaigua, New York 14424. Arrangements are under the care of Fuller Funeral Home, Inc.
