Obituary of Matthew J. Beck Jr.

Matthew John Beck, Jr. passed away suddenly on January 22, 2024, at the age of 26. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Randy Beck, Kevin Holbrook, Lona Holbrook, and his uncle's Norm and Tom Dowdle. Matthew was born on June 2, 1997, to Shannon Holbrook and Matthew Beck Sr. Matthew and his father had an extremely strong bond, Matthew thought of him not just as his dad, but also as his best friend. Matthew was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. From the minute he was born, Matthew touched the lives of everyone that knew him, and we are all better for having had him in our lives. He was an artist and a musician, a traveler, a comedian, and a knowledge seeker. Although his fight is over, please remember that he never gave up. Matthew leaves behind a world of people who will always love him: His son, Daniel John Beck, his parents, Shannon Holbrook (Royal Lewis) and Matt Beck Sr, (Kayla), siblings, Bryce, Collin, Olivia, JJ, Vayda-Ann, Zachary, Vincent, Grandmother Carol Faro, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family & friends. Two very special people that will forever miss him are his girlfriend Tiana Johnston and John Gerstner who Matthew made his official grandpa. Friends may call Tuesday, February 6, from 2-4 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 4 PM memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
