My condolences to you on the death of your mother/grandmother. We met when we both lived on the third floor of Richardson (now Harrington Hall) at Keuka College. During our sophomore year, Carol and I lived in Ball Hall on the fourth floor just down the hall from Rita & Jane. One of my favorite memories of Carol was the Friday afternoon we rode, on our single-speed bicycles, from Keuka Lake to her home on Douglas Drive. Yes, over the hills and on 5/20. We arrived without a key so we collapsed on the front lawn until her mother returned from work at the racetrack. Even though we were lying next to our bikes, it took us several minutes to convince her that we had traveled 30 miles on our bikes. It was a great weekend. We, and our bikes, were driven back to Keuka on Sunday.
Another memory is from February 1971. It was Dad's Weekend and many parents were snowed in at the college. So much snow that they couldn't get back to their motel rooms in town after the evening dance. Carol's parents probably wisely stayed in Canandaigua since they didn't need to travel on Friday like my parents did from PA. My parents slept in my dorm room & Rita's parents were in her room. Carol & Bissy welcomed the two of us to their room. We pushed the twin beds together and all four of us slept crosswise with extra pillows & blankets. I thought I had a photo of this but I cannot find it today. We talked and laughed and even slept. That is hard to believe now.
I have other fond memories of Carol & the time we spent together. She had a great laugh and always was ready for an adventure. I hope you find comfort in your memories of happy times with her. Love to all. BettyLou

My thoughts and prayers to the family of Carol Kelsey.
Carol was a teaching colleague of mine. She was a spitfire of a person
who was very devoted to her students.
She was very helpful during my son's time in elementary school.
The other night he spoke very highly of Mrs. Kelsey.
The young man went on to be a college athlete and college graduate and soon will be entering the Police Academy.
Carol indeed touched many lives as a lifelong educator.
