Obituary of Christopher L. Stoneburner

Christopher L. Stoneburner, born July 26, 1978, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Paula and George Stoneburner, passed suddenly on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his home in Canandaigua, New York. Chris leaves behind his mother, Paula (Kunkler, Stoneburner) Landerfelt (Daniela Lathey); father, George (Marie) Stoneburner; brother, Dwayne Stoneburner; nephew, Alvin; half-sister, Deanna Runyon; stepbrother, Terry Stoneburner; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers and all the bowling and horseshoe buddies. He went to his forever home with all of his loving family and friends and pets that have gone on before him. We are sure they met him along with our Lord. Chris was a graduate of Lancaster High School in Ohio. At the age of 16, he started, through a high school program, working and going to school half days. He was very backward and afraid of people, but he always wanted to thank his great-aunt and uncle, Pete and Irene Kunkler of Bremen, Ohio for his first job that they gave him in construction work. This gave him the skills and the confidence to for the rest of his life. Grandparents, Richard and Wanda Kunkler and his great-grandmother, Florence Hart provided mentorship for Chris. If you met or worked with Chris, you knew they taught him well. He held three jobs in his life. At 16, working for a Farmer Brown's Lancaster Poultry, 10 years. He then moved on to Carnival Foods Grocery Store for over 10 years. Last, Chris to Lowe's Home Improvement in Lancaster, Ohio. There he was offered a chance to move to Canandaigua, transferring to the Lowe's store, where he worked a total of four months. Chris was a league bowler for K of C League in Lancaster, Ohio, a horseshoe pitcher (story was they needed to add the horse onto the shoes, because he would pitch it a mile farther than the stake). He loved fishing, woodworking and daily/weekly Xbox playing with his Australian families that he loved dearly. He is also missed by his right arm that was there whenever he was not working, by his side or on his chest was Sweet Pea, a Chihuahua Terrier. She lays in a chair watching the window at the bottom of the door waiting for Dad to put his feet there, coming in the door. She's crying and shaking. She loves you dad but of course he knew it.
