Obituary of Linda Damm
Linda Damm, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023.
She is survived by her nieces Karen DeMay (Jim), Laura Rogalinski, and Susan Rogalinski (Emmett Smith), grandniece Jennifer Woodhouse (Greg) and grandnephew Robert DeMay (Clare Bartholomew), and dear friend James Delibert, Jr. She is also survived by her Austrian family; Siegwart and Martha Floegel, Harald and Claudia Schon, and their children Marlene and Constantin.
She was predeceased by her father Siegwart, mother Gertrude, sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Robert.
Our Aunt Linda was a tenacious and forceful person. She was born on October 17, 1937, to Gertrude and Siegwart Damm. She was the younger sister to Elizabeth. She worked many years as a registered dietitian retiring from Monroe County. With much love she was a dedicated daughter who always put her mother and father’s needs before her own. In her retirement she enjoyed living in the Bristol Hills.
We each hold a special and loving memory of times with Linda. Perhaps some of those are sitting by the pool at Pine Grove, sipping a cool drink on a sunny summer afternoon. Or maybe a great dinner gathered at the dining room table or summertime lunch on the patio.
Linda was perfectly herself – the warrior, the caring daughter, and a woman of great stamina. For that, we are ever grateful.
A burial will be held Friday, July 7, 1:00 PM, in Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1133 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester. The family welcomes you to share in commemorating Linda’s good life by joining us at Canandaigua Elks Lodge 1844, 19 Niagara St. Canandaigua, July 7, at 3:00 PM Refreshments will be served.
