Obituary of Ida E. Jansen

Ida Jansen, 89 years of age passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, just 10 days shy of her 90th birthday. She is survived by her husband, Josef Jansen; two children, Susan and Michael; and two grandchildren, Gina and Samantha. Ida was born on February 14, 1933, in Buldern, Germany. She was one of seven children. At the age of 22, Ida moved to America to be with her soon to be husband, Josef, whom she was dating in Germany. They were married on February 26, 1956, in Wading River, NY. They were to celebrate their 67th Anniversary. Ida and Josef owned a successful Jewelry store in Long Island, NY before retiring to Canandaigua. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends. She had a special love for gardening, cooking and lighthouses. Ida will be missed and was loved by all. An 11 AM memorial Mass will be held Saturday, February 25th at St. Mary's Church, 95 N.
