Obituary of John V. Mundy III

John V Mundy III Loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. John Mundy, 76 passed away January 19, 2023, at Strong Memorial Hospital. John is survived by his daughters, Cathy Williams and Shelly Peno (Chris Barnard); grandchildren, Ashley Peno and Jadon Williams. He is also survived by his companion, Tammy Binder He was predeceased by his sister Kathryn and his parents John and Pauline (Delpho), his loving wife of 38 years, Stella Marafioti Mundy. He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1964 and attended Marquette College for Journalism. He enjoyed golfing, reading and bowling. He was inducted to the USBC Bowling Hall of Fame October 17,2021. He loved the NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. John was a lifetime member of Canandaigua Elks Lodge #1844. He served as the Exalted Ruler, District Deputy, and State Vice President. He loved his family and always said "I am the luckiest man in the world, beautiful wife, children and grandchildren." Friends may call Tuesday, January 24, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 AM funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 25, at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. All family and friends are invited for food, drink and to share a memory at the Elks Lodge, 19 Niagara St. Canandaigua, NY 14424.
