Obituary of Dorothy Ann Allen

Dorothy A. (Meath) Allen was born in Canandaigua NY on September 8, 1947, and spent her entire 75 years living there. She loved the beauty and quiet of her country home so much that it was hard to get her to leave it some days. Dotty worked at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua for many years as a nurse’s helper, she then went on to spend many more wonderful working years as a (Team Leader and Med Supervisor) at Horizons Assisted Living Facility in Canandaigua NY. helping the aging. Dotty loved to help people, that was her calling in life. The only thing she loved more was her family and grandchildren. She fought cancer courageously for a long time. She battled fiercely to live to see the arrivals of her two great grandchildren, I’m happy and proud to say, she did just that. She is predeceased by her Parents, Donald Meath, Leslie G. Meath, Sister, Gertrude A. (Meath) Kempa, and her son Micheal C. Allen. She is survived by her husband Eston A. Allen; her two children, William S. Jones, and Pamela M. Perrin and Mitchell S. LeFave, her husband’s 2 children, Amy C. Allen and her husband Paul E. Mullins, and Brian Allen and his wife Deisy yojana Allen Miranda; 8 grandchildren, Rocco W. Jones, Francesca M. Jones, Stephan J. Perrin and Nicole L. Wood, Kodie M. Perrin and Melissa E. Eisenhauer, Dakoda B. Coyne and her husband Austin W. Coyne, Hunter W. Weigert and Megan M. Walters, Paige M. Weigert and Brandon J. DeRosa, and Skyllar W. Weigert; 2 great grandchildren, Mia Dorothy Perrin and Deacon E. Weigert; 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Diane Gual and her husband Roger Gual, Janeen kempa, and Joey Pimm and his wife Karen Pimm; 3 great nephews, Brandon Gual, Josh Gual, and Ryan Pimm, 1 great niece, Morgan Pimm; 7 Step grandchildren, Amy K. Davis and her husband Steven J. Davis, Melissa S Claspell and her husband Justin M. Claspell, Rick L. Mullins and his wife Carly M. Mullins, Kelsey E. Mullins-Alsup and her husband Daniel L. Alsup, Preston D. Allen, Kaylee M. Allen, Lucas J. Allen; and 16 Step great grandchildren. She is and will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially by those that called her mom and grandma DD. May our beautify Mother and Grandma DD rest in peace and watch over all of us. Friends and family may call Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5 – 7 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm immediately following the calling hours at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street in Canandaigua, NY. The burial will be held later in the year as Dotty wanted to be cremated and buried with her twin sister’s ashes. Gertrude A. (Meath) Kempa passed away some years ago.
