Obituary of Aaron T. Smrekar

Aaron T. Smrekar, age 29, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his family December 11, 2022. He was the proud son of Cherie (Murphy) Smrekar (Kevin) of Oil City, PA; and David Bradley Sr. (Jean) of Lyons, NY. Aaron is also survived by his partner, Jacob Rivera of Canandaigua; his sister, Summer Bradley (Wayne Clamp) of Buffalo NY; several other siblings from the surrounding area; maternal grandmother; Patricia Shedrick of Oil City PA; his very special nephew and niece, Aaden and Autumn Bradley of Oil City PA; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Chastity Bradley Singletary; maternal grandfather, Philip Murphy Sr.; paternal grandparents, Geraldine and Ernest Bradley; maternal uncle, Rick Murphy; aunt, Susan Krisher; aunt, Helen Zuck; great grandmother, Janet Fields. Aaron was born August 5, 1993 in Canandaigua, where he grew up, went to school and worked in the area until his accident in 2013. Aaron was always a friendly, easygoing, loving person. After all he endured becoming a paraplegic, he had an upbeat personality and friendliness about him. He was a "Mama's Boy." Yes, he loved his mom. Aaron couldn't deny that. He would always speak highly of his mother. That was Aaron in general. He pretty much loved everyone! Aaron will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. May he rest in peace.
