Obituary of Douglas J. Beecher

Douglass J. Beecher Canandaigua- Douglass Beecher passed away June 25, 2022 at F.F. Thomson Hospital. Predeceased by his parents, John and Lucille Beecher and niece, Caryl Atkins. He is survived by his long time significant friend, Sharon Cotteleer; brother, Roy (Nancy) Beecher; sisters, Mary Forsythe, Helen (Steve) Atkins; niece, Kim (Tom) Kenney; nephew, Ross Beecher and great nieces and nephew. Doug was born and raised in Canandaigua, graduated from Canandaigua Academy. Doug worked for Mobil Chemical for over 20 years. His favorite job and passion was being a professional beekeeper (Beecher Apiary) where he sold honey and wax candles. Doug loved his property on Goff Road and being outside. In his younger years he loved banning ducks, fishing and hunting. He lived his life on his own terms, did what he wanted and cared for those close to him. He was content in his journey and definitely on his own terms. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, from 1-4 PM at the Cheshire Fire Hall in Cheshire, NY. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery Canandaigua. Donations may be made to the Cheshire Fire Department, 4285 State Route 21, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
