Obituary of Vincent T. Lazauskas
Vincent T. Lazauskas
Canandaigua- Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Vincent died April 11, 2022 at FF Thompson Hospital.
Born March 5, 1949 in Brooklyn New York, Vincent was the son of Joseph and Marie (Ryan) Lazauskas. On November 28, 1970, he married the love of his life, Canda (Gage) Lazauskas at Torrejon Air Force Base in Spain.
Vincent was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He served his country mainly in Germany and Spain, where he was an electrician in the 401st Civil Engineering Squadron. Once his military service was completed, Vincent moved to Canandaigua and began a career at the Veterans Administration Health Center, from which he retired as a supervisor in the civil engineering department.
Vincent was a member of the Shortsville American Legion, Turner-Schaefer Post #34, the Shortsville Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association, the New York Rifle and Pistol Associate and was a Certified Firearms Instructor. Vincent also was a former coach for Canandaigua Junior Baseball.
Vincent was pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Robert Lazauskas.
He is survived by his wife, Canda; daughter, Andrea; son, Robert (Jenni) Lazauskas; brother, Joseph (Alicia); five grandchildren, Jonathan and Hailey, from Farmington New York; Ryan, Karsen and Jordyn, from Woodland PA.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 19, from 2-4 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 4 PM funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 20, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 140 North Pearl St. Canandaigua following a procession from the funeral home at 11 AM.
