Obituary of Eugenia S. Moore

Canandaigua- Eugenia S. Moore passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Known to most as Jean or Meme, she was 97 years old when she passed. She lived a life full of love and happiness. She and her husband of 50 years, Robert F. Moore, loved Canandaigua Lake life, living on West Lake Rd for many years. After Bob passed away, Jean enjoyed apartment life at Ferris Hills with a beautiful view of the lake. Both Jean and Bob were great supporters of community service. While living in Canandaigua, Jean spent many years volunteering her time in the gift shop at Thompson Health Hospital. During this time, she also enjoyed learning how to transcribe books into braille. Earlier while living in Pittsford, New York, Jean was a member of TWIG, a local woman's club and was proud to participate in several community service projects. Additionally, she taught Sunday school for many years at the Pittsford Presbyterian Church. Jean is survived by her children, Barbara Hanner, Karen Clark, and Robert F. Moore Jr.; along with seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A private service, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family.
