Obituary of Marjorie A. Birmingham

Marjorie A. (Makowski) Birmingham, 83, died February 12, 2022 in Canandaigua NY after an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1938, in Syracuse to Stanley and Mary (Caban) Makowski. After graduating high school, Marge earned her RN from Crouse Irving hospital in 1960. Marjorie married Gerald on June 8, 1963. Marge worked full time as an RN at Castle Rest nursing home in Syracuse, primarily evening shifts. As her children grew older, Marge went back to school to get her master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Marge retired in 2003 and moved to Victor to be closer to her grandchildren. Her interests included cooking, word searches, and pets – her current being a cute Puggle named Nala. Mrs. Birmingham is survived by her Husband, Gerald Birmingham; two sons and their spouses, Michael Fittzgerald, Shawn and Ann Birmingham; her daughter and spouse, Jay and Kelly (Birmingham) Steiger; and two grandchildren, Aidan and Troy Steiger.
