Obituary of Betty J. Hoffman

Betty J. Hoffman Bloomfield- Betty Hoffman, 93, formerly of Wheeler Station Rd. passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Fairport. Betty was born in Dansville, to the late Walter L. and Cora Belle (Eaton) Nadeau. She graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1946. She was a member of the United Church in Canandaigua where she met her future husband, Edward W. Hoffman. They were married in Baltimore, MD on March 19, 1947 and were together 63 years. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, sewing, and gardening. She is survived by her son, Ellis M. Hoffman, of Canandaigua; daughter, Jean (Luigi) Maenza, of Farmington; five grandchildren, Mark Hoffman and Marrette Hoffman, of Geneva, Ellis (Elizabeth) Hoffman Jr., of Fairport, Charles (Nichol) Hoffman, of Bloomfield, and Annetta J. Maenza, of Farmington; eight great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice C. Morley, of Greencastle, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Hoffman Sr. Son Edward W. Hoffman Jr.; grandson, Luigi J. Maenza; brothers and sisters in-law, Donald (Margaret, Meta, Josephine) Nadeau, Fredrick (Rita) Nadeau, Robert (Suzanne, Julia) Nadeau; sister and brothers in-law, Virginia (Emmett) Watters and Edwin J. Morley. Friends may call Wednesday, December 15, from 4-7 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 AM funeral service will be held Thursday, December 16, at the funeral home.
