Obituary of Donna B. Maskell

Donna B. Maskell Hopewell- Donna Maskell passed away on November 22, 2021, one month short of her 87th birthday. She was born in Batavia, NY on December 22, 1934 to Olin E. Bradley and Olive (Kidney). Donna was predeceased by her parents; her brother, William; spouse, Everett L. Maskell and their daughter, Debra. Donna is survived by her companion, William “Bill” Morrison, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was a graduate of Fairport High School, class of 1953 and worked at Eastman Kodak in Rochester until her marriage to Everett in California. After an extended honeymoon trip back to New York, they settled in Canandaigua. While in Canandaigua, Donna worked in a variety of jobs. She worked for the Messenger in the ad department, then was Court Clerk for the Town of Hopewell and then Town Clerk. While doing this, she was also active with volunteer service to the community. Donna was a sixty-five year plus member of the Rebekahs, International Order of Odd Fellows, holding many different positions and rising to President of the Rebekah Assembly of the Jurisdiction of New York. In addition to that, she was a volunteer with the Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic and served on the CSH&C Auxiliary Board. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Hopewell Fire Department and of the Hopewell Historical Society and held various offices with both.
