Obituary of William S. Vishneski
Manchester, NY- William Stanley (Bill) Vishneski, 91, passed away on May 3, 2020.
The son of Anthony and Blanche, Bill was born November 16, 1928, in Ashley, Pennsylvania. Bill graduated from Hanover High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He then enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably as a combat paratrooper during the Korean War. He worked for West Plex in Manchester and retired from Mobil Chemical in Macedon. He enjoyed listening to polka music, attending polka festivals, raising and racing pigeons, fishing and bowling. He was a member of the Canandaigua Moose Club 1048.
Bill is survived by his children, Patrick (Kathleen) of Canandaigua; William Jr. (Teri Stetzel) of Manchester, Catherine of Shortsville; his brother, Robert Vishneski of Wilkes-Barre, Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. Bill is also survived by his grandchildren, Kelly, Kerry, Kara Leigh and Tara; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Johanna.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to those who cared for Bill during his later years, including health care workers at the Canandaigua Department of Veterans Affairs and Canandaigua Medical Group.
Military Honors will be held 11:00am on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Pearl St, Canandaigua. Arrangements are under the care of Fuller Funeral Home, Inc.
