Obituary of April S. Raner

Stanley- April Stell Raner, 81, passed away on May, 2nd 2021. She was born to parents Carl Fredrick Stell and Ester Reed Stell, on April 29, 1940 in Canandaigua. She graduated from Gorham High school in 1958. April worked as a Principal welfare examiner, after 26 years of service, she retired from Ontario County Department of Social services in 1998. April enjoyed gardening in her younger years, she was an avid racing fan enjoying dirt racing as well as NASCAR. April was a Member of the Aloquin Methodist Church where she enjoyed selling tickets to the church dinners. April also enjoyed her family, having family dinners and watching her grandchildren play. April met husband Kenneth Raner in 1958 when her brother, William, and then girlfriend, Etta, introduced them. They were married on May 23, 1959 in Rushville. Together they raised two children, Allen L. Raner and Terre L Waugh. April is survived by son, Allen (Sue); daughter, Terre (Jeff); grandson, Kenneth; granddaughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Megan and Lauren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Brenda) Stell, William (Etta) Stell and Fredrick (Joan) Stell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Raner; brother, Jean Stell; sisters, Ada Clark, Barbara Curry, Virginia Langmaid; brothers, Donald Stell and Carl Stell . The family has entrusted Fuller Funeral home 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua NY with her services. . Calling hours are Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 2-4 and 5-7pm. Funeral services are Friday May, 7 at 11am Pastor Wade Allen will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilmont Cancer Center or Ontario Yates Hospice.
