David Warren posted a condolence

From David Warren, Warren Lockwood's cousin:
"That is a beautiful obit and it gives so much that I never knew of Warren .... who my family in Ithaca knew as "Stub" and who it was always obvious to me, was way more fun than any of the rest of us. Recently he mentioned to me the agricultural interval when he was in charge of four to five hundred chickens, I guess it became clear that to make a profit, you need between forty and fifty thousand chickens. He mentioned that foray because I had about twenty chickens at the time. I wish now that I had asked him to sell me chicken insurance. Fisher Cats have since taken all but one. That's not funny, but Warren, Butch, Stubb had a sense of humor, and there is no better sense.

Though I was not often at my home church in Bristol for many years, I always enjoyed returning to greet old friends. One of the most familiar figures when I came was Warren Lockwood. I remember well his friendly greetings and enjoyed his participation in the choir. He was truly a pillar of the church. We will all miss his presence.
Rev. Richard S. Gilbert
