Obituary of Glenn M. Moffat
Glenn M. Moffat passed away on November 18, 2020 at age 54.
Glenn is survived by his mother, Connie Moffat; his daughter Autumn Collins; siblings Nancy (Jim) Apolito, Eric Moffat, Karen (Chris) Fallows; nieces Colleen Smith, Shannon Ewing, Megan Apolito; nephews Reid Fallows, Gage Fallows, Bryson Moffat; cousins by the dozens and his beloved dogs Jack and Jill. Glenn was predeceased by his father, John Moffat.
Glenn was a 1984 graduate from Victor Central High School and went on to complete an Associate Degree from Alfred Tech. He worked as an electrical test engineer at Detection Systems/Bosch Security Systems in Fairport NY for nearly 30 years. His passions included home-made stereo speakers, an extensive movie collection accompanied by an impressive movie trivia recollection and re-engineering potato guns. He loved his Jeep Wrangler and typically would be seen driving, in rain or shine, with the top and doors removed, wearing his leather jacket.
Every June, Glenn could be found at the Mendon Carnival celebrating his birthday with a whole crowd of newly acquired friends. The bonfires held on Pannell Rd were legendary as were the parties at his barn with the pool table, pinball machine, poker games and bandstand. He was a talented musician with the ability to hear and then play any song. Glenn's big heart, curly hair and charismatic soul drew people to him. The family would like to especially thank his dear friends Bill, David, Kelli and Michelle.
A Celebration of Glenn’s life will be held, August 14th, from 1-4 at the Powder Horn Lodge at Power Mills Park, Woolston Rd, Pittsford NY.
In Glenn's honor, please consider donating to a local animal shelter or directly to the Wayne County Humane Society: HSWC 1475 County House Place, Lyons, NY 14489 www.hswaynepets.org/
