Pamela Arrington

Obituary of Pamela A. Arrington

Pamela A. Arrington Canandaigua- Pam Arrington was the most "alive" person you could ever meet. She didn't just enter a room through the doorway she would appear like a multicolored tornado, enthusiastically smiling and welcoming all. With boundless energy, she would make sure that everyone was taken care of. Whether that meant next door neighbors, shut-ins that she knew or factory workers at her husband's place of employment. She was always cooking something, buying something or making a care package for someone. A flurry of activity, a warm smile, a friendly hug.... that was Pam. It might surprise people to know that underneath her warm demeanor and a gracious smile beat the fierce and determined heart of an overcomer. No one was more conscious of her faults than Pam and few were more determined to vanquish them from her life. Alcoholism tried to kill her. She overcame it. Agoraphobia tried to shut her in. She overcame it. Smoking, bitterness, offense... all overcome. She worked hard to overcome all obstacles in her way, but finally she was not able to overcome death from pancreatic cancer. Fortunately, she gave her life to the one who did overcome death, Jesus Christ. Pam's life as a Christian meant everything to her. It supplied her with a purpose for her endless energy and a love for people that was her passion in life. All of her overcoming was done with a bible in her hands and a desire to please God in her heart. God was her passion, her joy, her hope, and her reason for living. Pam was the most alive person you could ever meet. Now because of her love for her Savior, she is more alive than ever. Pam is survived by her daughter, Shawna; her brother, Tom; her sisters, Patty, Jude and Cheri and her husband, Eric. Her memorial service will be held September 15, 6 pm, at New Hope Fellowship, 7466 NY 5 US 20A, Bloomfield, NY. To share a memory or express condolences online please visit www.fullerfh.com
