Marjorie M. (DeSmidt) Boheen
Canandaigua- Marjorie Boheen passed away on May 26, 2020, after a brief illness, while at Elm Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Canandaigua, NY and grew up in Baptist Hill, NY. She is the daughter of John and Ruth DeSmidt and she graduated from Bloomfield Schools. Marge was married to Frederick Boheen and they lived in both Canandaigua and Palmyra where she was a waitress and a homemaker. Later in life she worked for a short term at Denise Transport as a bus aide. She was pre-deceased by Frederick, her sister Dorothy Blair of Honeoye NY and her beloved cousin Edith Deys of Palmyra, NY. She also lived with and was pre-deceased by long term companion Albert R Habberfield.
She is survived by her extended family including Terry (Cathy) Habberfield of Canandaigua NY, Amie (Brian) Hermanson of Palmyra NY, Kevin (Lauren) Habberfield of Farmington NY, Bruce (Judy) Habberfield of Himrod, NY.
Marge enjoyed going garage sale shopping, knitting, sewing, country music and dining out. She spent several winter seasons in Florida and her time in NY gardening and enjoying her lilacs. She especially loved her toy poodles Bridget and Tiger.
A private ceremony will be held in North Farmington Friends Cemetery on Saturday May 30. Arrangements are under the care of Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. Canandaigua.
