Obituary of Julia E. Catalfamo

Julia E. Catalfamo Fairport- Julie Catalfamo, 64, passed away peacefully by the side of her family on March 24, 2020 at Highland Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim; sons, Sam and Joe; brother, Bill Brennan; sister, Sharon (John) Dater and a large extended family. Born in East Hampton, NY, she moved to Canandaigua during her early childhood years where she continued to be raised. She is a 1973 graduate of Canandaigua Academy. Upon graduation, she worked for Rochester Telephone Company (currently Frontier Communications) and put in over 40 years of service with the company. Julie’s life will be defined by her love as a wife, mother and friend to everyone. Among many things, she enjoyed gardening around the house, traveling with family and friends, and watching her boys compete in sports. Her love derived from within her family, but extended her kindness and affection to everyone she knew. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a proper funeral Mass was unable to be held at the time of Julie’s passing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, 3:00pm, at the Canandaigua Country Club. The family hopes to share this day with many family members and friends to celebrate Julie’s life appropriately.
