Obituary of Edward J. Tidd, Jr.

Edward J. Tidd, Jr. Rushville- Edward J. Tidd, 95, passed away November 21, 2019. He was born on November 20, 1924 in Rochester, NY to parents Edward and Loretta. Ed grew up in Rochester, but spent many summers with his sister Dorothy visiting his grandparents in Moravia, NY. He was a Veteran of WWII, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid golfer, had a passion for woodworking and loved to work in his shop. He was a very active man who loved to take long walks and work outside whenever possible. He is predeceased by wife Theresa, son Edward Tidd, III, his parents; Edward and Loretta Tidd, siblings; Mel, Don, Barb and Dorothy. Edward is survived by his loving wife Barbara, children; Greg (Faith) Tidd, Kevin (Lori) Tidd, Joseph (Deb) McElroy and Jean Tidd, grandchildren; Leo (Rachel) Tidd, William (Lindsey) Tidd, Andrew (Erica) Tidd, Tessa (Craig) Tidd, Amanda (Frank) Estrada & Paige (AJ) LaMere, great-grandchildren; Finn, Taro, Lily, Rosemary, Lucas & Cora as well as many nieces and nephews. A 1 pm memorial service will be held on December 8, 2019 at the American Legion, 454 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
