Obituary of John J. Schumacher
John James Schumacher, life-long resident of Canandaigua, NY died suddenly on October 24, 2019 at the age of 72.
John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen J. Schumacher (Kluge); children, Paula Brocklebank,(Brian) and predeceased by, Shane Wheaton. Grandchildren Brianna Sollitt,(Thomas), Ashley Brocklebank,(Samuel) and Cassandra Brocklebank,(Eric), as well as many sister and brother in-laws and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Alton and Elsie Schumacher and brother Alton Schumacher.
John served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a jet engine mechanic for 4 years. He was under the ranking of sergeant and was stationed in Bangor, Maine at the Dow Air Force Base.
John was an avid animal lover and also enjoyed farming and the outdoors. He loved taking care of his property and spending time with family. He will be missed dearly and was loved by all.
A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday November 2nd, 2019 at 1:00pm at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. A dinner following the service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 320 South Pearl Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
