Obituary
Obituary of Stephen J. Moroz
Stephen J. Moroz loving husband and father passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on July 29, 2019 at age 75. Steve touched many lives especially those of his family, loving wife, Dianne and his son Christopher (pre-deceased), daughter Sheila, son Matthew (Stacey), and daughter Earon (Robert), nine grandchildren (Alyssa, Samuel, Shelby, Ciera, Nathan, Christopher, Emily, Brayden, Ryleigh) and four great grandchildren (LillyAnna, Gavin, Abriella, Lyam).
He was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States at age 5. He served as a Sargent in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Metal, the Vietnam Service Metal and the Vietnam Campaign Metal.
Steve's meaning and purpose in life was to live for his family and children. His life will be remembered for years to come in lives of his children, grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews. He spent many summers camping, fishing, with his children, nieces, nephews and all of his children's friends and neighbors. He attended many sport events for his children and grandchildren and the best was to be able to travel to Disney World with his family.
Steve was a heart transplant patient recipient of 26 years. During the last few years and months of his life, Steve was wonderfully cared for by the University of Rochester Heart Failure and Transplant Department, the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, Gladwin Hall, and the Finger Lakes Dialysis Center in Phoenix Mills, Victor NY.
In his final days of life, Steve and his family received the most compassionate, professional, loving care in the Medical ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital. His wife and family wish to thank the eighth floor (1600) MICU and a special thank you to Dr. Christopher Nolan for his exceptional care and support.
