Obituary of Ruth L. VanEpps
Ruth L VanEpps passed away peacefully surrounded by her friends that were considered family by her on December 31st, 2018 at Clifton Springs Hospital Acute Care Unit. She was born November 4th,1936. She was a lifelong resident of Hopewell she was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. She retired from Mobil Chemical after 30 plus years of service. During her employment with Mobil she also ran her family farm, with her brother Bob until his passing and she then continued running the farm physically until illness made her unable to physically do it in the last two years. However, due to her love for her animals and the farm life she loved she "ran" her farm to the very last day. She was a very hard worker and passed on her knowledge and love for the farming life to anyone who became a part of her life. She never expected anyone to do more than her, but did expect the job to be done right. She helped "shape" the future of many people by her willingness to help anyone that was willing to help themselves.
She will be greatly missed by a lot of people including the following:
Michael and Sue Manaco, Richard Johnson and Effie McCarthy, Richard and LuAnne Williams, Judd Plouffe, Joshua Johnson, Keith Griffith and Melissa Wilson, John VanEpps and Gilbert VanEpps.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Carl and Alice VanEpps and her brother, Robert VanEpps.
Friends may call Friday, January 4, from 11am-1pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 1pm funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
