Obituary of Richard J. Martino

Richard Joseph Martino, age 78, died on December 6, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Richard is survived by his companion of 21 years Sharron (Tiffany) Callery, of Canandaigua; his daughters Julie Watkins, of Fairport, Jessica (Timothy Jones), of Waterloo, and Betty Jean Clawson; and his son Joseph Martino, of Sacramento; his brother Donald (Carol) Martino, of Naples, and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Ida (Pastore) Martino of Canandaigua; and his son, Richard Joseph Martino-Clawson, of Brockport.

Richard was born on June 14, 1940, to Vincent and Ida (Pastore).

He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1958. He joined the NY National Guard and served from 1958-1964. Richard was an active member of the Canandaigua Moose Lodge #1048. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending his spare time camping and fishing.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm at the Canandaigua Moose Lodge. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richard’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Galisano Children’s Center.
