Obituary of John L. McGuire
John McGuire, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at the Hospeace House in Naples, NY. John has been reunited with the love of his life, Barbara, who passed in June of 2017.
He is survived by his son, Sean McGuire and wife Andrea of Blakeslee, PA; son John D. McGuire and wife Suzanne of Scotia, NY and his daughter, Ann Green and husband Lee of Shortsville, NY along with four beautiful grandchildren; Jack, Madison, William and Alexandra. He also leaves behind two brothers (Edmund and James) and two sisters (Mary Ellen and Anne Marie) and their families.
John was a faithful husband and father, proud Navy veteran, avid stamp collector, grandpa and “pop pop”. John, originally from New Haven, CT, relocated to Schenectady, NY where he spent much of his career working for Golub. John and Barbara relocated to Canandaigua, NY for retirement prior to Barbara’s passing.
We will always carry his memory and one of a kind personality in our hearts.
