Obituary of Cynthia D. Pickering
Cynthia Deneen Pickering, age 52 , of Sodus, peacefully passed away at Hildebrandt Hospice care center after a long battle with sickness on Thursday, July 12,2018 at 11:47 pm. She took her last breath after her wedding song finished playing. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 2, 1965
She attended Honeoye- falls Lima high school. She loved to volunteer. She was a Girl scout Leader as well as a volunteer for Red Cross Disaster services and well as being the Wayne County Blood Services coordinator for a few years. She was always taking care of others. She was a loving mother daughter, wife , sister, ,aunt, Nana, mother in law, cousin and friend. Sindy liked to vacation with her family at the family cabin in Quebec,Canada. She also loved to take spur of the moment road trips and loved camping with her family. She loved to watch baking shows with her grandkids and baking Christmas cookies will be a memory her grandchildren will cherish. Sindy was compassionate, loving,fiesty, stubborn and strong-willed.
She is survived by her parents Sylvia and Richard Howder. Her daughter’s , Erin (Stephen) Rouse , Amanda( Derek) Pickering and Son Andrew ( April ) Pickering and her 5 beautiful grandchildren . They were her whole world. Austin, Arabella, Hunter and Aidan Rouse and Jaxon Pickering, niece Ashley ( Dustin) Kraus, nephew Jonny gaudette, brother in law, Jon gaudette, ex-husband and longtime friend, Steve( Diane) Sullivan . As well as several close Aunt’s , uncle’s and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her loving Husband Gary Pickering, her brother Richie and sister Tara. As well as both sets of grandparents.
Funeral service will be Thursday July 19,2018 calling hours from 3-5 pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 5pm at Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo Street Canandaigua, NY then followed by a Celebration of Life at Canandaigua Moose Lodge 305 Ontario street ext Canandaigua, NY 14424. Graveside Burial service will be Friday July 20, 2018 at 11 am Boughton Hill Cemetery
