Ruth Thompson
Canandaigua- Ruth Thompson, of 80 Parrish St., passed away on April 17, 2018 at the age of 83.
She was a lifelong Canandaigua resident and a 50 plus year member of the Moose Club. Ruth worked at the Pickering Hotel as a waitress in the 1950's, bartended at Eddie Church Bar for many years, worked at Bill Huling Sub Base on Main St. and was a nurse's aid at Clark Manor Nursing Home.
Ruth is survived by son, Frank (Debbie) Bowman; sister, Mary Ellen Krossber of Canandaigua; brother, Richard (Connie) Krossber of Kentucky; first husband of 30yrs. Franklin Bowman of Canandaigua; grandson, Eric (Tana) Morehouse, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Steven and Vera Krossber; sister, Elizabeth; brothers, Steven, Bob, Edward; and her late husband, Earl Thompson.
Ruthie as many of her friends called her was very outgoing and outspoken. She loved to dance and play her weekly game of bingo.
A 2pm graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 25 in Calvary Cemetery, Clark St. Canandaigua.
