I was so struck with sadness when I heard the news. I hadn’t spoken or seen scooter in a long time but he had a big impact on my past and I wanted to send my condolences to his family and son Ryan.

Ryan was a bright, eclectic light in this all too often dark and hopeless world. He made those he met feel like they were perfect.... Good enough, smart enough, worthy enough. He spent his younger years being the brunt of cruel children's bullying, so he demanded that everyone he loved in his adult life was treated with dignity, honor, and respect. A man of integrity, he would give without taking, love without asking, and share without expecting. He will be remembered by the thousands of people he met along the way.... And left his mark of loveable kindness and sarcasm. We often say that when a loved one is gone, they are 'missed', but not Scooter. Scooter will never EVER be forgotten.

You changed my life in so many amazing ways. So many I couldn't begin to put in writting. You helped shape and put into motion things in my life that are still rolling forward . You will forever be loved and always be in my heart. I love you more then words could tell. See you on the other side brother.
