Stephen Robert Reubens
Stephen Reubens passed away peacefully January 16, 2018 at Geneva General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was born December 1, 1945 in Palmyra, NY to the late Vera Gravella and Bob Reubens. He enlisted in 1963 with the US Marine Corps at the age of 17, serving six years. He was honorable discharged as a corporal in 1969. Steve was a Vietnam veteran and a very proud Marine.
He was a life member of the Marine Corps League (Memorial Day Detachment- Waterloo), VFW Post #44 (Clifton Springs), DAV and AMVETS and a member of American Legion Post #457 in Phelps.
Steve enjoyed holidays with his family and visiting with friends. He loved riding his Harley, watching NASCAR, trying luck at the local casino's, playing tickets at the legion, ice cream at the Olde Mill, steaks at the Deluxe and traveling with his wife and best friend, Syracuse.
He had a kind heart, a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. Steve will be sadly missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.
Steve is survived by his wife of 39 years, Syracuse; his son, Steve Reubens Jr.; his daughter; Chris Houle; grandchildren; Seth, Vinnie, Saigh, Kyle, Lyssie and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Mason, Liem and Chrissy; sisters, Betty (Olin) Lush and Mary-Ann Burnett; nephews, Charlie and Dan; several cousins; many, many friends; brothers in-law, Lee (Jean) Wadsworth and Drew Wadsworth.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 7, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 am funeral service will be held Thursday, February 8 at the funeral home.
