Dear Maura and Family Members,
If it hadn't been for Dolores Looney mentioning she had been to your dad's wake, I wouldn't have known of his death. I went to St. Dominic's Sunday and I didn't see any obituary in the local paper.
Anyway, I'm so sorry for this latest loss to your wonderful family. I had such great respect for Mr. William Sherry and always enjoyed our visits on our way into church at various times. A wonderfully faithful husband, father, grandfather and friend that I'm sure God is happy to have called home at last. He has left all of you such warm and lasting memories that you can cherish and enjoy every day.
Bill and I appreciated the note sent by him and Maura recently regarding our Ellen's death and I apologize for not being able to say all this in person.
Sincerely,
Donna Andrews

I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Your dad was a quiet, kind, gentleman. I don't ever remember hearing him raise his voice to anyone. I remember how he would often give us a ride up Main Street on school mornings if we were ready to go to school when he was leaving for work. About 6 of us would pile into the car to avoid that cold walk to the high school. He would drop us off on the corner of Granger Street and Main. This has been a difficult year for you all. I hope you find comfort in your memories and each other.

Anne, whenever you spoke of your father it was with the love of a daughter who embraced his wisdom and guidance. May he live on in your heart and the spirit of compassion shown by you and your family. Peace to all.

To the Sherry Family, My condolences to you on Bill's passing. He was my Scoutmaster many years ago, and when I moved back here in the 1980's, I'd see him regularly at church. He always had a friendly wave and greeting. He was one of the good guys. May he rest in peace.

I remember how welcoming both your parents were as we played between each other's homes. As a young adult, your Dad gave me great confidence placing my business in his hands. I am happy that you had such wonderful parents Maura.
God Bless Your entire family.
