Tom Mincer Obituary
Thomas R. Mincer, 28, passed away on June 1, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
Tom grew up in Gorham/Rushville area. He is survived by his father Scott Mincer (Nancy Rader), mother Nancy Mincer (Kevin Pietrzykowski), Sons Jayden and Austin Mincer, the mother of his children, Samantha Mincer, Grandmother Sharon Banks, and Grandfather Tom Mincer, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Edna Scott.
After much hard work and persistence, Tom recently obtained multiple NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certificates and had started putting his skills to work at Badge Machine in Canandaigua.
A special thank you for the love and kind words received from his friends and co-workers (past and present). Tom appreciated your camaraderie, companionship, kindness, and support which is reflected in the comments below:
"He was an amazing father to his two sons. An outdoorsman of all sorts. He enjoyed being in the woods, whether it be hiking or hunting. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved his job working as a CNC machinist. Always showing off his pictures of his project on social media. A true friend to anyone he met. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him."
"Missing Tom already. Rest peacefully my friend.
From the day you walked into my life I knew you were someone special. Little did I know the impact you would have on my world when you literally walked through the doors at Finger Lakes Ambulance.
You have always been kind, honest, genuine, thoughtful and above all- resilient. I shall miss our riveting porch discussions about nature vs. nurture, building our adventure bucket list and the joy of being friends.
You taught me that not all adventures have to be grandiose; in fact, you taught me how the simple adventures in our own backyards are even more meaningful when they're with the ones you care about (new friends, old friends, family and even oneself). You reminded me frequently to live in the present and to make the days count.
Thank you for blessing me with your friendship and kindness. Your legacy will live on. I promise."
"I enjoyed the friendship we have formed, the late night chats out on the front porch, you being an awesome neighbor and inspiration to many people who were struggling with demons."
"My heart breaks for your sons because you were a great father, and an even better man. Heaven gained an angel and you watch over all of us.
"Why has this been so hard, you made an impact on everyone you came across."
