Anne Batte Van Dusen

Canandaigua- Anne Van Dusen passed away April 25, 2017 at her home.

Anne was married to the late John H. Van Dusen on February 16, 1957. For many years, Anne and Jack tended to acres of gardens containing over 20,000 annuals and perennial flowers at their home in Cheshire. They enjoyed sharing their gardens with anyone who dropped by at any time of the day. Anne was a member of the garden club and had a penchant for butterflies that graced her home and gardens. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. Anne will be greatly missed.

She is survived by children, Gary J. Van Dusen (Lori), John C. Van Dusen (Ruth); grandchildren, John D. Van Dusen, Samuel J. Van Dusen and Anna E. Van Dusen; siblings, Elthea Spiegel (Paul), Mary E. Luckman (Paul), Tom Batte (Jean), Edith Douglas (Bob), Jerry Batte (Jean) and Nancy Patz; sisters In-Law, Helen Bernard; Jean Batte; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Anne was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Helen Batte; brothers, Bob Batte and Bill Batte, sisters-in-law, Jean McMahon and Shirley Bakker.

A 10:30 am funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 28, at St. Bridget's Church, 15 Church St, Bloomfield. Interment will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Anne's memory may be made to St. Bridget's Church.
