Obituary of Douglas C. Preston

Douglas C. Preston Shortsville-Douglas Preston, 62, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 11, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hall Preston, sons Joshua and Shawn (Chrystal), sisters Kathy (Ed) Walsh, Sharon (Mitch) Moore, Mary Ann (Hank) Trickey, Brother Lyle (LeAnne) Preston, brother in law Robert (Jean) Hall, several cherished nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher and parents June and Lyle Preston. Doug was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all. He took great pride in his family, was hard working and a good provider. He was born in Bath, New York graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1972 and began his career with Pactiv (Mobil Chemical), he was employed there for 44 years. Calling hours will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, on Friday December 16 from 4-7 p.m. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, at the First Baptist Church of Manchester, 54 South Main St. Donations in his memory may be made to the Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
