Obituary of Helen F. Owens

Helen Florence Owens Canandaigua- Helen Owens, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2016 at Serenity House in Victor. Helen was born June 12, 1933 in Athens, Georgia. She resided in South Carolina for many years, and in Canandaigua, New York since 1962. Helen was a hardworking, stay at home mother, who took pride in raising her 5 children. Family was her top priority, making holidays and gatherings special. Helen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charlie Owens, children, Cindy (Al) Griffin, Bev Owens, Terry (Ken) Wesley, Mike (April) Owens, Shawn (Heidi Welsh) Owens, and predeceased by their infant daughter Sherry Lynn Owens. Helen had 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, Angie and Mike Burlaka (Janelle & Jake), Shane and Danielle Owens, Kyle and Kristin Owens (Kelsey & Kendall), Ashley and Seth Williamson (Kara, Haley & Baby 3), Madie Owens, Drew Owens, Liam Owens, AJ Willemsen and Jaxson Willemsen and a number of other relatives. A private service was held at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. Burial took place in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serenity House, 1278 Brace Road, Victor, NY 14564.
