I worked with Mike at CA for two years, he always had a smile on his face. You could tell that he really enjoyed working with the students, our students in the life skills classroom really enjoyed his advice. Everyone who came in contact with him, this is a great loss of a wonderful, positive, hard working young man. Mike will be missed greatly.

To all of Mike's family and friends, team mates and students:
Such a sad and early loss of someone who had great potential. You DID win the fight, Mike Pane, just by going on with life in spite of this terrible illness. Cancer changes people, humbles all of us, is so unfair........for anyone to suffer it.
Love and warm hugs from all of us,
Mrs. Vicky Peltier

I knew Mike through my brother Brian and his friends. Even though we were a few grades apart in high school, their entire class was mature beyond their years. We shared many great memories of hanging out in our basement playing any sport we could come up with, one that Mike always wanted to play was Doubles Ping Pong. Slipping and sliding across the concrete floor and diving after loose balls to keep the rally alive was something Mike liked to do.
You are in our prayers.

I was a student at Canandaigua Academy when Mike came on staff and started his battle with cancer. Reading his obituary he has impacted many students with his kindness and inspiration.
Words cannot describe how sorry I am for your loss. Praying the Lord brings comfort to you all.
